MyLooks Styx is an odd looking thing due to his parents, since he is a hybrid. With a white muzzle and white eyebrows, he has the apperance of a wolf. His anatomy is all correct and his facial structure is all there. With a smaller, leaner form he is built for speed. This pup is only two years old, barely coming of age. Thin, lanky legs but still with muscle strapped in there somewhere. A long bushy tail and fluffy fur all along his body. His back and his shoulder, hip and flank are covered in a deep creamy, brown color with splashes of black and a streak of white every now and then.
A belly of cream and a black nose to tip it off, legs white and a creamy mixture along the belly. Ebony pads and claws come in good defense and provide a solid grip when running through the woods. His eyes a deep, ocean blue, filled with streaks of brown and hazel, they are quite a sight to behold. In fact, Styx is not a bad looking wolf, handsome in his own sense.
HowIAm Quite a child, he is always tricking others and playing pranks. The light hearted teenager with a pinch of sass and a squeeze of attitude. Truly Styx merely wants everyone to get along, trying to keep the peace between everyone. He was built for speed, not strength. As a crossbreed he was usually picked on as a pup, whether it be in the town he once lived in or the pack he joined soon after. No matter what happened to him he always found a reason to place a smile on his face.
However, Styx is not one to be trifled with, he will stand up for what he believes in with no hesitation. Willing to fight to the death for someone he loves or to help a pack mate, he has no problem with violence when there is a worthy outcome. A patient mind helps him with the pups when they need to play and wrestle, most other adults simply push them off on him when they can no longer deal with the children. Tender hearted and always compassionate, but no afraid to be hostile. His only problem is he tends to be a bit prideful, okay, a bit is not the right word to describe it. Stx has a pride bigger then his whole body could handle. It has caused him problems in the past and it will no doubt cause him problems in the future.
MyStory
PuppyHood As a pup, Styx lived in the city with his mother, and his fabulous brother Grizzly. Sure the other little pups picked on the two of them because of their difference in species and looks, but the two had each other, so neither of them cared much. Styx had Grizzly, and Grizzly had Styx and that was all they needed. For a while the pups left them alone when they saw that their teasings hadn't quite worked, but neither of the boys knew that this only irritated them, and they were planning someway to get back at them. Sunny, their mother, knew nothing of these happenings and therefore did nothing about them.
Somethin' filled up Now, one day the other pups had caught Grizzly and Styx while out on a walk. As the others began to taunt them, they learned something, these pups had gotten smarter, and found a way into their heads. Turns out the pups turned to Grizly, since he was the oldest, and took him in. Treated him like one of their own. Like he wasn't a cross breed. While Grizzly "loved" his little brother, acceptance was a big deal for him, so he joined in the jests and the teasing and the humiliation. Styx was mortified and ran off, while they all simply laughed. Even Grizzly.
my heart with nothin' Styx got to the edge of the frozen lake and simply sat down, wondering what to do, should he run off to find his father in the woods? Or stay here with his mother and deal with the taunts and the threats? He would never know his choice for at that moment, here came the others, with Grizzly, leading them. They poked fun at him, told him he should jump in the lake and drown himself. Nobody wanted him, nobody cared, nobody would even notice. So Styx snarled at them and snapped at his brother, catching him on the shoulder and ripping through skin with his needle like teeth. Grizzly was so enraged he charged at his brother, and they fought. It was only when Grizzly was pushed, by accident and in defense, onto the frozen surface of the early winter, that things got bad. When the thin ice cracked beneath him and he plunged in, never to surface again.
someone told me not to cry... The pups began to scream, yell and yip, when the adults came they saw the ice and Sunny broke in tears. The others told of the fight and that Styx had pushed his brother onto the lake. Not even his own mother would believe him, so he ran away before their threats of pushing him in the lake as well, became a reality. At six months old, Styx believed he had commited murder.
FirstYear It hadn't been long since he had left the town that he had found the pack. They took him in with welcoming arms and Styx has been there ever since. He has never found his father and he still believed he had murdered his brother. And that's when the nightmares started. The images flashed before his eyes of him turning into this murderous canine, ripping open throats and killing for the joy. It burned like bile in his throat and he couldn't sleep. Yet still he hung onto his care free nature, never letting anything show, pushing it down into a bottle so deep it was never to be found.
But now that I'm older, So he focused on being himself, playing with the children, always making sure they got along. Once he thought he saw Grizzly, once he thought he saw his father, but it wasn't true. He met Shanahan, and he met Fawn. He met Umit and he met Serenade and he met an interesting wolf named Patronus. However much he liked the other wolves, Styx liked Patronus the best. Sometimes he would simply follow the white wolf around, waiting for him to say something to him, or anything. Whatever he took, he watched him hunt, watched him interact with others, he was simply fascinated.
my heart's colder, The day he found his father was a happy one, the Great Grey Wolf approached him with a smile and simply said "son". And that was all it took. He had recognized the Sunny and himself in Styx, and there was always just that simple knowing. He loved his father, and Raptus loved his son. And that was that for the next two happy months. Everyone loved Raptus as well, they knew him and how well he took care of everyone.
and I can see that it's a lie. Then came that day, the great storm when so many were lost and killed. Styx woke up on a wet bank, fur soaked to the bone and water in his lungs, but thank god it just hadn't been enough. Coughing and spluttering he walked about, calling for help and for company. There he found Fawn and Shan, but no one else was to be found. Not yet. Others finally began to appear, but not Raptus. he was gone, it wasn't until later that they found his dead body on the shore, broken and dried blood was all that was left of him, beaten from the rocks in the raging river that eventually took him out to sea. When the packs split Styx had no trouble with picking the North, he knew it was where his dad would have been.
You'd better look out below...
